Stream Clean Review

Does Stream Clean Pet Stain and Odor Remover really live up to all of its claims and hype? Read on and find out:

The Stream Clean is used to remove pet stains and the cleaning process starts with just a squeeze of this bottle. It eliminates odors as well and you don’t need to scrub or brush the stains to remove them. It instantly cleans and deodorizes carpets or any areas in your house.

The Claim:

If you've seen the Stream Clean's infomercial, the commercial claims that Stream Clean can take away the smell and dirt made by your pets in an instant. Everyone can use Stream Clean because all you need to do is point it to the stain and squeeze. The Stream Clean is effective because it goes deep down your carpet or fabric. Its enzyme action makes sure that the odor and any signs of dirt will be destroyed so the pets will not re-mark or make a stain again on that particular area. This is not only effective for pet stains but it can also be used to clean red wine stain and other kinds of spills. It can even clean old stains or stains that have already set-in on your property. You can also save money because you don’t have to buy cleaning equipment and cleansers to take away the stains permanently. The stains will be gone and your house will smell good in just seconds. The Stream Clean can be used safely around your family and pets.

My Experience:

First I will say, the product is safe to use around pets and people since it is non-toxic. Its advanced enzymes are the key to Stream Clean which penetrate deep into fabric breaking down any dirt, stains and odors and brings them to the surface so that cleaning is just a matter of removing the suds and the unwanted mess.

Now with that being said, this product works pretty effective on fabrics such as carpets, sofas and other furniture cloth based. It also can deodorize and clean pet habitats such as a pet’s home and bedding.

The Good:

  1. Versatility - Stream Clean is not limited to just pet stains and odors but can also work on other difficult stains such as wine, ink, vomit, coffee, blood and other unwanted stains effectively in seconds whether they are new, old or set-in. It does not leave a sticky residue behind unlike other stain removal products purchased in stores.
  2. Ease of Use - Like the infomercial says, the deep enzyme action that is present in Stream Clear removes the dirt particles pretty effectively on its own, and the nozzle of the can is designed in such a way that there is no need for the user to bend and spray.
  3. Save time & money - Buying expensive products that claim to remove stains, only end up putting a lot of pressure on the person with all the scrubbing, soaking and waiting. And most cases, you're still stuck with the odor left behind and need another product to remove the smell as well.
The Bad: (not really)

  1. Does require some work - This is more of an personal issue for me being a clean freak, but I cannot feel something is completely clean if I just spray and walk away. So I do suggest at least rubbing or dabbing it with a paper towel when you're done. (Personal preference)
  2. Availability - The Stream Clean is only available online only, and is not available in stores. So if you are running low, you cant just run to your local and pick up more. You have to remember to pre-order online (which isn't a huge issue, but isn't a plus either.)
  3.  Risks - Be careful buying from other re-sellers like Amazon, because Amazon is not the real seller for "As Seen On TV" products in most cases. So while you think you may be buying from Amazon, good chance it's one of their "sellers". So the risks of receiving a knock-off or missing parts, are greatly increased (Not worth it to me). So I bought from stream clean directly, which wasn't so bad because they currently have promotion running. (see bottom of page)

The Verdict:

While I do believe infomercials always tend to exaggerate on products, Stream Clean actually did a really good job living up to the hype. Even with the lack of availability, and still having to do some scrubbing (for my personal conscious), after using Stream Clean for the past month, I couldn't really ask for more in a product and will be one of my "go-to" items in the future.
